Coaching Quote of the Month
|
|
Coaching simply speeds up a process of change
that would most likely occur anyway if an
individual had enough time. Without a
coaching program that forces a client to
focus and make time, people sometimes miss
the real issues they need to focus on.

September-October 2000

Coaches Spotlight
|
|
Each newsletter we will feature one of our
GPCA
coach members. This month's
featured coach is: Bob Groman, DCSW
Many of us struggle with multiple great ideas
about our work and personal lives, but have
trouble getting "traction" in meeting goals.
If you are interested in gaining clarity
about your priorities, developing
professionally based upon your strengths and
values, and achieving a fulfilling and
balanced lifestyle, perhaps coaching is for you.
Bob's Ideal Clients are:
- Professional adults with "attention
deficit" tendencies who know they have more
potential, and want to actualize it;
- Married couples at mid-life who want to
blend their priorities for the 'second half';
- Organizational leaders who want to
inspire their staff and optimize working
relationships;
- Clients who want to savor their
improvements and have a lot of fun along the
way!
Qualifications: Bob has over 30 years
experience working with couples, family
systems, and people with ADHD. He completed
initial training with the Coaches Training
Institute in 2005, and holds Master's degrees
from Purdue and the University of Michigan.
Bob Can be reached at bgroman@nauticom.net
or by phone at (724) 776-1871.

June Member Meeting - Wed. June 13 - Three Great Speakers
|
|
Not to be missed, the June member meeting -
the last member meeting until September,
features three great speakers!
Chris Posti Tice, fresh from the
invitation-only "A Conversation Among
Masters" coaching conference will share insights
gained at that conference.
Bill Weil will share tips and tools for
creating an online presence including
websites, email newsletters and affordable,
highly targeted pay-per-click advertising you
can implement yourself!
Sales guru Russ Davis will coach you in
constructing your "30 Second Commercial."
Our "30 second commercial" or "elevator
speech" is one of the fundamental tools that
we have to help us communicate our service to
our prospects and other interested people.
Often we wait until the last minute to
develop a concise message that explains a
very complicated and sophisticated service
that we offer. This is unfair to our
business and to our prospects.
Symptoms of a poorly crafted message include:
- I sound like my competition and they
sound like me.
- I don't listen to other's commercial
because I am thinking about what I am going
to say.
- I sound like a typical "salesperson" when
I tell people what I do.
During this session you will learn the
fundamentals of a well crafted elevator
speech. You will learn why and when it makes
sense to use it. You will learn how to
engage the prospect in a conversation as a
result of your commercial.
